The mine is about 35 miles east of Reno (about a 45 minute drive). Take 80east to Wadsworth, north towards Pyramid Lake then a left turn onto the long dirt road cutting back west leading to the eastern front of the Pah-Pah Range. The Olinghouse District was discovered in the 1860’s but not seriously worked until 1901-03 in the Green Hill area containing almost vertical gold, silver and copper ore-shoots.
